Momma’s Gotta Have Some Peanut Butter Brownies!

Hello humans,

For those of you tuning in for the first time, I am not a cook. I am not even close. At the moment, I know a total of about 5 meals. But I plan on being a Stay-At-Home-Dad which means I will have to become the homemaker and put the bread on the table! And you get to help me! Comment below a recipe you would like to see featured and I will give you a shout out next Thursday!

Some weeks go by without a hitch. On Saturday you plan out every meal for the week, buy everything you need at the grocery store, and eat every meal you planned out.

This doesn’t happen when your wife is pregnant.

And when it’s 9pm on a Saturday night and your pregnant wife wants brownies, you need to think of something, quick. Or all hell will break loose.

Now, I don’t like to leave the house in my PJs nor do I like making an extra trip to the grocery store. So this week I had to think on my feet and satisfy my wife’s craving with what I had at home. And so I present you with this week’s Dad’s Cooking Baking Dinner Dessert.momma's browniesNow I may not be a cook but I’m a baker’s son, darn it! And I can bake me some brownies! The total time to make these brownies is 40 minutes with only 15 minute prep time.

Did these brownies satisfy the wife? Yes

Would she let me take a picture of her in her PJs enjoying the brownies? No…

I did cook dinner this week! I made Fajitas on Wednesday and learned a very important lesson. When a recipe says 1 tsp of cayenne pepper, don’t eyeball it. 1 tsp is a lot less than my eyeball thinks!veggiesBut it wasn’t horrible! I didn’t make it a full featured meal because it was the same as the chicken fajita pasta just with no pasta.

fajitaYou’re probably thinking, “Why does that look so delicious?” Fresh grated cheese, my friend! Buying an 16oz bag of shredded cheese at our local grocer will run you about $5.00. A 24oz block will run you about $8 which, after shredded will give you 8 cups. That is $1.50 difference per cup!

One thing that bothers me about money saving tips is you usually need to spend money in order to make money. “Want fresh grated cheese? Buy a food processor from my Amazon affiliate site for only $49.99!”

Don’t be lazy. Real men grate their cheese by hand!

Another thing I am sure you guys have been wondering is how I take all of these wonderful pictures while my wife is at work! Well, wonder no more!

If you have a recipe you would like me to try, comment below and I can make it next week’s feature! Thank you guys!

p.s. Is it normal for my wife and I to be at home in our PJs by 9pm on a Saturday night? Where else would we be?
